CIBT To Provide Executive Training To Global Trading Firm

January 16, 2002

Canadian Institute of Business and Technology Corporation (CIBT), a subsidiary of Capital Alliance Group Inc., has entered into a corporate agreement to deliver a custom-designed executive training program to global trading company Jebsen & Co. Ltd. (Jebsen) in Beijing, China. Under the terms of the agreement, Jebsen will send a group of its general managers to the CIBT program for training every two months beginning January, 2002.

CIBT’s executive training program is a certificate-level program, designed to provide Western-based management skills, culture and theory to executive-level managers at corporations and government departments and agencies in China. Delivered by highly qualified, professional trainers with senior-level business experience, the program combines lectures and seminars with group work and case studies. The curriculum to be delivered to Jebsen requires business strategy, marketing management, leadership, financial management and human resources management.

“Since China entered the WTO (World Trade Organization) in December, 2001, foreign companies have dramatically accelerated the pace of investment, market entry and corporate expansion in China, and as a result, have increased the demand for executive-level business training programs that meet international standards,” stated Toby Chu, president and chief executive officer of CIBT. “As foreign companies continue to build on opportunities in China, amidst growing competition, providing employees with a solid foundation of Western business practices and management becomes more and more essential.”
