CIBT International Education Exchange Center Commences Operations
Capital Alliance Group Inc. (TSX-V: CPT) reports that its subsidiary, CIBT School of Business & Technology Corp. (“CIBT”), has officially commenced operations at its International Education Exchange Centre (“IEEC”) in An Yang City, Henan Province, China. IEEC is a joint venture between CIBT and the Education Bureau of the An Yang Municipal Government. The IEEC’s goal is to develop the professional education market in its surrounding region. During the grand opening of the IEEC, over a hundred guests from the municipal government, local schools and other organizations in the city were in attendance. Guest speakers at the grand opening required Mr. Chao, Secretary-General of the municipal government, Mr. Lu, Director of the Education Bureau, and representatives from various local schools and companies.
In their speeches, Mr. Chao and Mr. Lu both restated the decision of the government to support the center in its development of professional education. After the opening ceremony, a press conference was held with representatives from the local media, and a one-day educational workshop entitled “Anti-Dumping: a fatal problem facing Chinese exports and its solution,” was conducted by CIBT for a hundred executives from local export-oriented companies. Mr. Wu Yue, a well-known expert on the subject from the Ministry of Commerce, was the guest teacher.
About the International Education Exchange Centre
The IEEC will require training programs for local English teachers, both in An Yang and in Beijing; information dissemination to local students relating to entrance into overseas universities; recruitment of student’s for CIBT’s Beijing, Zhengzhou and Weifang locations; and training programs for local government and companies. Trainees of all IEEC programs will have opportunities to travel to Canada and the USA for short-term training programs. The IEECAY plans to apply for college or university status in due course.

It is the fourth largest city in Henan Province, which has over 7,000 years of history and a population of approximately 92.5 million people.
