CIBT Reports Successful Completion of Phase 1 Equity Raise by GEC® Real Estate Investment Limited Partnership
Vancouver, BC – April 3, 2018 – CIBT Education Group Inc. (“CIBT” or the “Company”) (TSX: MBA, OTCQX International: MBAIF) is pleased to report the successful completion by a GEC® real estate investment limited partnership of the phase 1 $30 million equity raise for this Global Education City® project, the eighth GEC® location, described in CIBT’s news release of March 21, 2018. It is expected that an additional $50 million in equity will be raised in four installments between April and December 2018.
To date, CIBT has earned a $6 million development fee from this project and anticipates earning an additional $10 million in fees through the remainder of 2018. These funds will be used by CIBT to acquire at least a 20% equity interest in this GEC® project.
